Hiking and regional exploration

You are in the right place for your hiking activities. The Ourthe valley and around it the varied game of forest and field is wonderful to relax. In the street you can connect to two walks, namely Wade des Mohons and Bois de Hampteau.

There is the Arboretum Robert Lenoir and more to discover. Walking and cycling maps are available to our guests in the B&B.

Active sports

For adventure sports, we refer you to Brandsport, the activities around Durbuy from La Petit Merveille or Ardenne adventure in La-Roche. Whether kayaking or something more challenging such as climbing or ropes courses and mountain bike, the offer is varied.

Restaurants

For a restaurant visit, there is an abundance of choice for every budget. Within walking distance you will find

Au moulin d'Hamoul. At a five minute drive you will find Au Comte d'Harscamp and le Jacquemart.

If you like BBQ, you can go to Beffely Hills.

In Durbuy, Hotton and La Roche-en-Ardenne there is also a diverse range.

Even star restaurants such as Les pieds dans le plat and Le cor de chasse are not lacking.

For me the best restaurant in the region is Bistrot Blaise in Marche-en-Famenne.

Chef François-Xavier Simon has been working with the three-star chef from Paris Pierre Gaignard for years.

Reservations are a must.

Chocolate

Belgium is also chocolate. Here in the region are a few chocolatiers who love their craft.

Is it pasta, is it pralines or just for the chocolate with your coffee.

The best known and our favorite is Chocolaterie Defroidmont.

Breweries

Belgium is the country of beer. Visit a brasserie where beer is brewed.

Get a tour of the brewery and taste it on site. Smaller and locally they brew Lupulus and Oster.

The larger and most famous brewery in the region is the Achouffe Brewery.
